The mission of LetterSchool is to teach all children how to read and write, worldwide. So it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that one of the features most requested by our users is the support of a second language.
LetterSchool now supports 11 languages, including English, Spanish, and French.
That’s the reason why we’re delighted to announce we’re a step closer to making our mission come true: it’s now possible to learn while playing LetterSchool in over 10 languages. All according to the local curricula of each of those countries.
With this update, we aim to facilitate the acquisition of a second language (ESL and SLT) by young children and provide educators and parents with a reliable and safe tool. Preschoolers are able to learn in both their native language and American English, for example.
For parents and homeschoolers intending to teach their child a second language, LetterSchool offers the perfect starting point for the little ones. They will familiarise themselves with letter sounds and the first words of a new language.
Research supports that teaching young children a second language is good for their minds and the earlier that a child learns a second language, the more likely the child will more quickly attain native-like language proficiency.
Turning LetterSchool into a platform means that we improve our web proposition as well. Now, our users can perform checkouts via the LetterSchool website. Our platform supports multiple payment methods assisting schools to acquire our new product, LetterSchool for Schools.
As one can imagine, we’re quite excited about this new phase. With the new developments, we’re laying the foundation of a new and stronger LetterSchool. Decreasing the dependencies on large players in the ecosystem while improving the proposition towards the user. With this technology, we’re ready to make our mission come true!
A big thanks to the team for all the hard work.
